U.Dance National Festival 2026!

On the way to Tramway to in Glasgow tonight to see UDance, a real celebration of youth dance in all its energy, ambition and imagination.

These events are such a vital reminder of the breadth of talent across Scotland and the UK, and of how powerful it is to see young dancers coming together to share work that is full of risk, curiosity and individuality.

There’s a real sense of a future being shaped in moments like this, not just in the performance itself, but in the exchange, the meeting of peers, and the collective experience of being in the room together.
A real privilege to be in the room today, with a long-standing connection to youth dance contexts making moments like this feel especially meaningful.
